Shipped, and how it works.
Tournaments with flights and shotgun starts
Run one round or a whole season from your phone. Draw flights at random, seed them from the standings or copy last round. Tee-time starts stagger by ten minutes; a shotgun start gives every flight one time and its own hole.
Live share pages with QR
Every tournament and every round has a link and a QR code. Anyone opens it in a browser and follows the field, the flights and the boards as scores land — no app, no account. The page says plainly whether the event is upcoming, live, paused or finished.
Register from the tournament link In testing
Open tournament registration and new players can continue with Apple or Google on the share page. They become registered Ghoolf Book players, never guests. Registration closes when round 1 starts unless the organizer reopens it.
Finish round
The organizer closes a round from the hub. Anyone still on the course gets a short window to submit — 15 minutes from 1.0.6, with a live countdown and a reopen — then every missing hole is marked X: no Stableford points for it, no return on that day's stroke boards.
One scoring engine
One scoring law. The app, the share pages and the PDF scorecard are held to the same conformance vectors and parity tests, so a gross total, a net total or a Stableford point count reads the same wherever you look, hole by hole.
USGA/WHS-conformant handicaps
Course handicap from your index, the tee’s slope and rating; playing handicap after the format’s allowance; strokes placed by stroke index. A tee without a rating reads ‘tee unrated’ — never an invented number.
Individual and team boards
Gross, net and Stableford boards for Stroke Play and Stableford events; Four-Ball Pairs (better ball of 2), Team Best Ball (4) and Team Net Best Ball for teams; Match Play for knockouts. Rows carry the golfers’ names, by flight or full field.
Friends’ live rounds, with privacy
Friends Live shows which friends are playing right now; tap a card to watch the scorecard read-only. One switch in Settings, ‘Share my rounds with friends — live and finished’, governs it. Turn it off and your rounds are yours alone: no live card, no spectators, no round-started notification.
Items marked In testing are source-only until a later TestFlight build is accepted.
